December 4, 2018 – 4:40 pm: The 24-year-old Stephanie Renea Jordan, of Harker Heights, was killed in a crash that took place about four miles from Georgetown.

The accident happened at the intersection of County Road 241 and Highway 195, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Jordan was attempting to turn from eastbound 241 onto northbound 195 in her 2014 Honda Civic, when she was hit by a southbound 2017 Ford Expedition. The force of the impact spun Jordan’s Honda into the path of a 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche, which was also traveling southbound.

Jordan was killed in the accident and pronounced dead on the scene, and there are no reports that anyone else was injured in the crash.

According to witnesses on the scene, Jordan was trying to turn north from a stop sign when she was hit on the driver’s side. Investigators are still looking into the accident, so there is no report at this time on whether the accident was caused by a failure to stop at the stop sign.
