According to news reports, the south Houston crash took place when the dump truck hit a Nissan Versa.
December 3, 2018 – 2:20 pm: One unidentified person is dead and several others are injured after an accident involving a dump truck and a Nissan Versa.
The crash took place on the South Sam Houston Parkway feeder road at Telephone Road.
The dump truck slammed into the side of the Nissan, causing the Nissan to spin out of control and come to a stop in a grassy median.
The dump truck went off the roadway and flipped over onto its side.
News reports do not specify the name of the individual who was killed in the crash, nor do they state which vehicle the person who was killed was riding in at the time. Reports state that there were several people taken to the hospital in the wake of the accident, and that one of them eventually died of the wounds received by the collision.
The crash is still under investigation. Police have not determined who was at fault in the accident, nor whether any charges or citations will be filed as a result of the crash.
