One Dead, One Injured in Horrific Austin Crash

According to news reports, one victim was already dead when EMS arrived on the scene of the accident.

 

December 4, 2018 – 9:00 pm: An unidentified man in his 40s was killed in a crash that took place late on Tuesday evening, while an unidentified man in his 20s survived with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash happened at the intersection of Payton Gin Road and the Research Boulevard Service Road.

Two men were found pinned to a vehicle when EMS from Austin-Travis County arrived on the scene. The older of the two men was already dead, while the other was taken to Dell Seton Medical Center.

The roadway was closed for several hours after the crash, while investigators tried to discover the cause of the collision. Drivers were advised to avoid the area if possible.

The cause of the accident is not known at this time. The circumstances of the accident have not been released, nor have the identities of either of the men found on the scene of the collision. No further information about the vehicles involved in the crash has been released, either.

Investigators are currently working to bring the facts of the case to light.
