December 8, 2018

According to news reports, police were not immediately able to determine whether the accident was caused by slick road conditions or driver intoxication.

December 8, 2018 – 12:30 am: The 30-year-old Jason Christopher Anderson was killed in a single-vehicle accident during the heavy rains that took place very early Saturday morning.

The crash took place at the intersection of Barker Cypress Road and US 290. Anderson was turning north onto Barker Cypress when the accident took place.

For unknown reasons, Anderson lost control of his Chevy Camaro, hitting a light pole, a number of signs, and an electrical box before his vehicle came to a rest. The vehicle flipped over and came to a rest on its top, while the force of the crash knocked over the light pole.

Anderson was pronounced dead at the scene when first responders arrived.

Officers of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office are not yet certain whether the accident was the result of slick road conditions, intoxication, or both.

Anderson was the only one in the Camaro at the time of the crash, and there were no other vehicles involved in the accident. The crash is still under investigation at this time.
