Man Found Dead in Vehicle on Highway 6

According to Houston Police, the man was found in his vehicle, which was still running at the time.

April 16, 2019 – 1:00 am: A man was found dead on the side of the road in his running SUV early on Tuesday morning. Houston Police have not reached any conclusions, but they suspect that the man may have had a medical issue leading up to the crash.

The incident took place along State Highway 6, near the intersection with Richmond Avenue.

According to Police, the man was driving northbound in his SUV when he left the road and ran into a mound of dirt. A witness contacted police, who arrived on the scene to find the 47-year-old driver unconscious in the vehicle.

Houston Police further report that the man showed no clear signs of trauma, leading them to suspect some medical incident on the road led to the accident and caused the crash.

The victim’s identity has not been made public at this time, pending notification of the man’s next of kin. The cause of the crash is still not known with certainty at the present time, so investigation into the crash is still ongoing.
